Queenstown by Air

Domestic flights

Direct flights operate between Queenstown and the following cities:

• Auckland
• Wellington
• Christchurch

Regional destinations will transit through one of the above airports.

Air New Zealand is the country's carrier, JetStar also flies some of the domestic routes.

International Flights

Direct flights operate between Queenstown and the following Australian destinations:

• Sydney
• Brisbane
• Melbourne
• Gold Coast

Most of the major airlines fly into Auckland, the main international airport hub. Check with your preferred airline for further details.

Wellington and Christchurch Airports also have international flights to and from destinations in Australia and the Asia Pacific Region

Staying in Queenstown

Accommodation in Queenstown over the busy summer period fills up fast. We'd hate you to miss out on your preferred date to walk because of it, so we suggest you secure your accommodation in Queenstown at the same time as your walk - and we suggest you do both early! Especially if you are intending to book your walk between 20 December and 31st January when the resort is very busy!
