Ultimate Hikes operate all-inclusive one, three, and five, day guided walks on the Milford and Routeburn Tracks, located in the Fiordland region of the South Island.
Our walks
Routeburn Track
One day walk from Queenstown up to Routeburn Flats. For groups that have little time but want to get out into our National Parks – under a beech forest canopy along the Routeburn River. This is an easy walk but probably the best example of our Great Walks so close to Queenstown
Three day walk from Queenstown – This walk gives you three days hiking with two nights in our alpine lodges on the Routeburn Track. The track is challenging in places, but has a great variety of terrain and views – right out to the Tasman Sea on a good day!

Our walks
Milford Track
A five day/four night day walk that includes a night at the Majestic Milford Sound and a Cruise the next morning. The Milford Track is an iconic feature and one not to be missed. It is our most remote of tracks, accessible only by water and walked one way - it is a truly immersive experience.
Milford Track
Our multi day walks include:
- Transport from/to Queenstown
- All meals on track (including lunch on day one in Te Anau)
- Accommodation on track in private or multishare rooms
- fully staffed private lodges, with lounges, dining and a bar selling beer, wine and soft drinks.
- Guides will be with the group all the way dispensing good humour, knowledge and advice if required.
- We can lend back packs, rain jackets and sleepsheets

Our walks
We can take up to 50 people on the Milford Track and 40 on the Routeburn Track. We can take smaller groups within a walk or book the full walk for an exclusive experience.
Pricing is based on our retail cost per person, but we can discuss discounts for groups on request.
All of our walks are fully inclusive and cannot be split. Transport is from Queenstown or Te Anau. Return is to Queenstown only on the Routeburn Track.
Our lodges on track have big screens and space for seminars in the evening.
